There are some excellent dining options in Huercal-Overa and superb seafood restaurants can be found 35 minutes away in the fishing village of Garrucha. Its neighbour, Mojacar also  has plenty of other bars and nightlife plus the contrast of the charming white washed, hill-top village of Mojacar Pueblo old town.

Granada is only 2 hours away, a great day trip to make and Murcia and Almeria airports are also just an hour away.

Near Mojacar, the water park in Vera can make a fun day out as can the western mini park. Horse riding, water sports and a diving school are also available locally.
